Mindful Breathing: A Powerful Calming Technique for Stress Relief.

This exercise is a wonderful grounding technique. When you feel anxious, do the following:

Take a deep breath in and slowing release while you count:

5 Things you can see

4 Things you can touch

3 Things you can hear

2 Things you can smell

1 Thing you can taste

(It's OK if it takes a few slow breaths.)
